The Woodbury United Methodist Women are committed to developing a creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

 

            Thanks to the support of our church family, in 2008 we were able to disburse $2,635 to local and global missions with another $1,000 reserved to purchase mosquito nets for 100 children in Awombrew, Ghana.

 

            Plans for 2009 include:

Mar. 9^th –         Guest Speaker, Peggy Panagrossi, Exec. Director of the Safe Haven of Greater

Waterbury @ 7:00 p.m.

Apr. 5^th -          Palm Sunday Bake Sale @ 11:30 a.m.

May 8^th -          Fashion Show @ 7:00 p.m.

June 8^th -          Ladies Night Out @ 6:00 p.m.

Oct 19^th           Assembly of Flood Buckets @ 7:00 p.m.

Nov. 8^th           UMW Soup Sale @ 11:30 a.m.

Dec. 14^th          Christmas Party & Annual Disbursement of funds @ 7:00 p.m.
