Dear co-laborers in Christ,
Thanks to Meg Temple for submitting the press release and arranging for the photo that appeared in yesterday’s “Voices” newspaper, front page above the fold!
YOUR generosity of over $1,300 given to the Community Services Council of Woodbury from our Christmas Card appeal was recognized.

· Highlights from our ministry chairs
· A review of the recent website upgrade
· Looking forward with excitement for 2026 ministry
· Time for Q & A with our leaders
If you can let us know you’ll attend, it will help us to plan adequate food. Please leave a message at the church office at 203.263.4775 or wumc@woodburyumc.net
Faith and Fiction Book Club will meet at 8:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall, discussing The Book of Longings by Sue Kidd Monk.
February 1st worship will celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper in a briefer worship designed to integrate with our Annual Meeting. The sermon “Sanctuary” will focus on where and how we encounter God, based on Psalm 15, Micah 6:1-8 and Matthew 5:1-12. We will receive Woodbury Food Bank donations and an opportunity to give to the pastor’s discretionary fund. Our liturgist and communion assistant will be Sarah Schivera. Our Black History Month presenter will be Sam Temple.
As for last weekend….thanks to everyone who was free to pivot to Saturday, 5 p.m. worship. We did pretty well under the circumstances given the Sunday forecast of 12”-18” inches of snow, which the Almighty delivered as the meteorologists promised. Pictures below.
